According to Taiwan media reports, on March 29, a fire broke out in the Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer Qiangmao at 3 pm. The factory employees fled in a hurry, and no one was trapped or injured at the scene.

Qiangmao spokesperson Shen Yingxiu said that a fire broke out at the electromechanical room on the top floor of Building C in Qiangmao's Okayama plant at about 3 o'clock this afternoon. The fire was extinguished in a short period of time and all employees were evacuated safely. The accident did not cause any personnel. For casualties, Qiang Mao emphasized that the production lines A and B were not affected, and production has resumed immediately after inspection. As for the cause of the fire, the fire inspection unit needs to verify.

It is reported that the fire department dispatched a total of 20 vehicles and 50 people from Okayama, Luzhu, Yong'an, Mi Tuo, Nanzi, Qiaotou and other units to rescue. The scene reported a large amount of black smoke from the electrical and mechanical equipment of the 4th floor roof motor room and dispatched 2 ladder trucks. Water was sprinkled from above the building, and firefighters sprinkled water from the inside. The fire was controlled at 4:17 in the afternoon, and the rescue was under continuous wiring.

According to the data, Qiangmao is an important global manufacturer of power MOS, diode and SiC devices. It has a front-end factory and two back-end factories. Its main products include 4-inch and 6-inch epitaxial wafers, Schottky, general rectifiers, TVS and Zener diode.

The back-end factory suspected of the fire was focused on the packaging of small signal equipment and the development of small and thin packages.
